Today was such an awesome day! This morning I arrived at the First Congressional Church in Winter Park to speak at Vacation Bible School on behalf of the "Clean the World" Foundation. I got the chance to tell my story and relate my message to tons of kids from pre-k to 6th grade.I had such a fun time working with the kids. With the younger ones, I got to talk to them about why it is important to give to other kids around the world who are less fortunate and we even played with bubbles at the end of the lesson. They definitely loved that!
For the older kids, I was so impressed by how receptive they were to my cause. Lots of the children told me their own stories about how they have volunteered in the past, and many of the children voiced their excitment about wanting to help me as well. We decided that we are going to leave a bin at the church for soap donation and the kids are going to help decorate it and make a poster advertising the collection bin at the church. I am so impressed by how caring and mature these young children were and by the level of understanding they had about the importance of helping those less fortunate.I was also so excited to see how much soap the kids brought in for donation today. I cannot wait for the progress that the Foundation will be making! Every step brings us closer to our goal of saving 1 million lives each year!
