I WON!

I can't explain how amazing it feels to be the new "Miss Teen Earth United States". I feel so honored and grateful to be able to hold this title! It is a dream come true for me and such a blessing. I cannot wait to promote my causes this year and continue working as an advocate for environmental awareness and protection. I plan on also promoting Clean the World Foundation as it is my personal platform and a cause that I am deeply passionate about.

To Evan my director, I am going to make you so proud. I can't wait for an amazing year working with you and everyone on your team! To Shawn and everyone at Clean the World; Thank you so much for your support leading up to the pageant and I am so grateful to be apart of this organization. I am so blessed to have an opportunity to save lives with soap and I can't wait to see the progress that we make this year!

I had the best week competing at Miss Teen Earth United States!!! I made life-long friends and had the time of my life. Every single day was jam packed with events, activities, and rehearsals. We had an event where we went shopping at a thrift store called "Savers" and we had a $10 spending limit to buy our opening number outfits. I love when shopping and recycling go hand in hand! We also planted a tree on the Primm Valley Resort property. I can't wait to put the pictures up. We were really proud of our gift to the hotel. We also modeled in a fashion show and I had the opportunity to model a dress that was created by Franovik Designs. It was a white gown made from a curtain and was so gorgeous!!! I was so excited that I got to model that dress. INCREDIBLE! We even did a project where we made a huge dinosaur created from recycled products and we named him "Recyclesaurus" and we are donating him to the mall for a contest that kids can enter to raise money.

As I said, I had the time of my life! I cannot wait for everything I have in store for this year. I have so many plans and ideas!

I will have a link up soon that will lead you to my new website so continue to look out for that!

CLEAN THE WORLD IS ON FOX NEWS!

I just wanted to let everyone know that tonight at 10pm there was a piece about CLEAN THE WORLD that aired on Fox News. It talks about the organization and the trip that we took to Haiti. Fox news cameras covered the trip and aired the story on the news tonight!

Please visit this link to watch the story: www.myfoxorlando.com/dpp/news/seminole_news/072409_Hope_in_a_bar_of_soap

I could not be more proud of how far this organization has come in such little time! I cannot wait for the progress that is in the future. But one thing we have realized after this trip is HOW DESPERATE these people are for soap. It is not a choice for us anymore. We MUST bring them soap.

Please visit our website to find out about donations and learn more about CLEAN THE WORLD.

Clean the World Foundation Factory

This morning I had the opportunity to finally go and learn about the workings and functions of the "Clean the World Foundation" Factory and I got to learn SO MUCH! We went through the entire process of how the soap is sanitized and repackaged and it was such a great learning experience. I even got some first hand experience of how to make the soap myself.

The foundation is making leaps in innovation. From a tedious process of handcleaning, cooking, and remolding the soap, we have found a way to sanitize the soap using a pressure steaming process. First the soap is soaked in a sterilizing liquid and then placed on a metal sheet and steamed at 220 degrees for 7 minutes. Because soap is porous, it is cleaned from the inside-out. There have been tests done on the soap that have shown that this process kills ALL bacteria that may be in the soap. After it is heated and cleaned, it is placed in a freezer to cool and be shrink wrapped. It is then placed in buckets until it is sent off to third world countries.

This process is the most timely process created to date and allows the factory to sanitize and recycle 15,000 bars of soap daily. This will allow us to reach more people!

However we still need YOUR help! If you would like to make a donation to the charity or provide us with soap please visit our website at http://www.cleantheworldfoundation.org/.

One very special thing I am asking for is a connection to someone who knows how we can get biodegradable shrink wrap. It would be such a blessing if you could contact with me information on how I could go about getting some donated!

And check back in the next few days for the youtube video that I am going to be posting. I will also have pictures from the Haiti trip last week and updates about when FOX News will be airing the footage!!!
GOD Bless and Stay Green!

Press Release of how I joined Clean the World Foundation with Ocean Waters Hotels

"July 10, 2009, DAYTONA BEACH, FL -- Building on their green legacy, Ocean Waters Hotels & Resorts has found a way to reduce waste and also give back to local charities.

Ocean Waters has partnered with the Clean the World Foundation and Earth Pageant Productions to safely recycle unused soap and shampoo from guest rooms and provide them to local charities.

"The Plaza Resort & Spa was the first certified green hotel on the Daytona Beach Oceanfront. We want to continue to push forward and lessen the environmental impact of all our hotels," says Rob Pici, Vice President of Ocean Waters and General Manager of the Plaza.

Used soaps will be recycled and cleaned using a hygienic process before being redistributed. Soaps and shampoos will be distributed to the STAR Family Shelter in Daytona Beach and other Central Florida shelters. The STAR Center provides shelter to homeless families with children in Volusia County. Ocean Waters was a founding contributor to the STAR Center when it was first opened.

The new, green, initiative was brought to Ocean Waters with the help of Miss Teen Earth Florida, Jolie Noelle Schamber. Ms Schamber spearheaded collaboration between Ocean Waters and "Clean the World Foundation."

"We all share responsibility to do what we can to ease our burden on the Earth," says Ms. Schamber, "Not only can we reprocess the (usually) wasted quantities of soap... but we can help local charities who can't afford to provide these basic necessities to the people they support."

Unused portions of soap and shampoo are collected from all 24 properties in the Ocean Waters Family.

The STAR Center is located at 340 N. Street in Daytona Beach."

Vacation Bible School - Clean the World Foundation

Today was such an awesome day! This morning I arrived at the First Congressional Church in Winter Park to speak at Vacation Bible School on behalf of the "Clean the World" Foundation. I got the chance to tell my story and relate my message to tons of kids from pre-k to 6th grade.

I had such a fun time working with the kids. With the younger ones, I got to talk to them about why it is important to give to other kids around the world who are less fortunate and we even played with bubbles at the end of the lesson. They definitely loved that!

For the older kids, I was so impressed by how receptive they were to my cause. Lots of the children told me their own stories about how they have volunteered in the past, and many of the children voiced their excitment about wanting to help me as well. We decided that we are going to leave a bin at the church for soap donation and the kids are going to help decorate it and make a poster advertising the collection bin at the church. I am so impressed by how caring and mature these young children were and by the level of understanding they had about the importance of helping those less fortunate.

I was also so excited to see how much soap the kids brought in for donation today. I cannot wait for the progress that the Foundation will be making! Every step brings us closer to our goal of saving 1 million lives each year!

Thank you Gurukirn and Soothing Touch!

I would also like to thank Gurukirn Khalsa and Soothing Touch professional spa products for their donation of Tangerine Salt Scrub for my contestant goodie bags! I cant wait for all of the contestants to get to use this scrub!

Let me be the one to personally say that it is AMAZING. The tangerine smells so great and it makes your skin really soft. This is such a great product and I would love all my readers to have the opportunity to use it. These are in fact professional quality products. This is also a great company becuase they recently have gone green by putting in place new production procedures that include energy saving and resource sensitive practices. Their practices recycle over 300,000 gallons of water each year!

If you would like to purchase anything please contact Gurukirn Khalsa at gurukirn@soothingtouch.com.

Thank you so much!!!!!!
